A PERFECT BALANCE BETWEEN HISTORY, COMFORT AND MODERNITY
This small project is an extension to a functional home that aims to add history. A small, ruined traditional house with stone walls and a wooden roof, which was once no longer connected to the main house, is now once again connected.
NEED
In a village in A Peroxa, our clients purchased a small traditional house connected to their existing property. Their mission was to expand their home. Our goal was to unify a new space into a functional layout without adding to the design costs.
APPROACH
Due to its small size, we proposed creating a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom on the upper floor, and a space below the existing living and dining room.
With a minimalist style with touches of modernism, we achieved a sense of spaciousness while maintaining details of the traditional house, such as the existing alcove.
SOLUTION
To maintain a balance between comfort, quality, and spaciousness, a neutral color palette is used, highlighting the brown of the structure and stone.
The renovation has utilized materials such as wood, both in the structure and the flooring, which provide quality and comfort.
