EXCLUSIVE DESIGN FOR A SOPHISTICATED AND FUNCTIONAL HOME, WHERE ELEGANCE, COMFORT AND NATURAL LIGHT ARE A GREAT COMBINATION.
In a home located just a few meters from the beach in Vigo, we carried out this project, driven by open spaces, fluid connections, and natural lighting. Paying close attention to the balance between aesthetics and functionality, we proposed a minimalist design featuring high-quality materials, custom furniture, and various touches of color throughout the home.
NEED
During the construction of this residential development, our client challenged us to join the project with distinctive interior design. Our objective was clear: to achieve an exclusive design, working closely with the builder while the project was being carried out to reduce delivery time and optimize costs.
Our goal was to paint a blank canvas, highlighting the avant-garde essence of the exterior volume.
APPROACH
The four-story home is organized into two zones: daytime and nighttime. The daytime zone houses the social spaces, such as the living and dining rooms, kitchen, and porches. The nighttime zone houses all the more private, relaxing spaces.
The daytime zone, comprised of the ground floor, includes the living and dining rooms, the centerpiece of the project. Designed to stand out thanks to its double height and its connection to the home’s exterior, the social area is expanded by extending the living room onto the porch, playing with the pool, garden, and designer lighting.
The interior design was proposed to be notable for its contrasting materials, as well as decorative elements made with fine materials, such as personalized paintings and handcrafted sculptures, to complete the design.
SOLUTION
The project was developed according to the client’s wishes: to create spacious spaces that enhance a sense of tranquility. The choice of colors, furniture, artwork, and lighting reflect our clients’ personalities.
The importance of furniture design and decoration is key, as it helps us complete the interior design. The contrast of black and white stands out throughout the property, maintaining an elegant and sophisticated design. Adding touches of yellow and blue enhance the design. Colors such as brown are even nuanced with the use of wood and wicker, which stand out against the ceramic tile flooring.
In addition to interior design, we were able to recommend and guide our client on changes during the construction project to achieve energy efficiency and maintain an aesthetic consistent with our proposal. Changes were made to the air conditioning system, the pool, and the exterior lighting. Taking care of the details of the existing architecture, a change in the pool design was proposed, as well as a saline chlorination system and exterior lighting that would enhance the property, the pool, and the outdoor bioethanol burner area.
