VILLA ALDÁN MORE THAN A LUXURY HOME, A LIFE EXPERIENCE
Conceived to blend with its surroundings and elevate the quality of life, Villa Aldán is an exercise in the complete integration of passive architecture, contemporary comfort, and the Galician landscape. The home, designed according to the most demanding energy-efficiency criteria, transforms the domestic experience into a sensorial luxury that transforms the everyday into something exceptional.
NEED
The commission stemmed from a desire to reinterpret the concept of a luxury villa, connecting each interior space with a full landscape experience. The client sought a passive house that would take advantage of the views, light, and natural relief without sacrificing privacy or comfort. A highly energy-efficient architecture was required, capable of combining insulation, lighting, and openness, in an area of high natural exposure and severe topographical constraints.
APPROACH
The project takes shape from a single volume that adapts to the uneven terrain, creating a minimal and quiet layout. Each room is strategically oriented toward the surroundings to capture light, protect privacy, and open up to the landscape. The wide openings structure the façade like frames that cut out the Atlantic, and the serene interior design extends this continuity to the exterior.
The landscaping was integrated from the outset as soft architecture: it does not adorn, but rather expands and accompanies.
SOLUTION
We focused on proper solar orientation to maximize natural light and reduce energy demand, integrating passive construction solutions that maximize thermal insulation without compromising visual openness.
Each window was designed to frame the views without sacrificing efficiency or privacy, complementing the project with native landscaping that reinforces the connection with the surroundings without overwhelming them.
The result is a home that not only meets the highest sustainability standards but also offers an immersive sensory experience, redefining the concept of luxury through well-being.
